  3.  Conqueror - Rainbow Arts

  6.  Rainbow Arts has a good reputation on the Amiga. They have produced a lot
  7.  of great software titles in the past and they are not about to let us 
  8.  down now!

  10.  You may have remembered the game Virus a year or two ago. It first came
  11.  out on the Archimedes and then on the Amiga. In some magazines this was
  12.  their best game of the year, beating the likes of Carrier Command and
  13.  other 3d masterpieces. I myself didn't like the game at all, and I am
  14.  sure a few others share the same feeling.

  16.  Conqueror is another game converted from Archimedes to Amiga. This time,
  17.  though, I found the game very enjoyable!

  19.  I seats you in a 3d world in one of three different tanks. These are a
  20.  Panther III, a King Tiger I and a Panther I. The graphics are much the
  21.  same as those of Virus with a few more details and extras like roads
  22.  and more houses.

  24.  The thing that really differs it from Virus is the option to have one
  25.  person (or computer) control the tank turrent while the other (or
  26.  computer) drives the tank. This can get really hectic when the other
  27.  tanks starts picking on you. But it's not just you they are after.
  28.  They attack each other as well. I found it best to run off to a cluster
  29.  of houses and blow down the church (well, I haven't anything against
  30.  God, but hey what's like a bit of fun ??).

  32.  Also you can choose to play the strategic side of the game as well, so
  33.  it caters for a lot of people!

  35.  Graphics: 95% A good title picture and excellent in game 3d graphics,
  36.                Surpassing those in Virus.

  38.  Sound   : 90% A mess of gunfire is the title tune, but in game the effects
  39.                befit the game very well.

  41.  Playability : 95% Definately beats Virus here. Good fun running.
